I’m super excited about my latest addition to my Etsy shop. I’ve been toying with the idea of designing some clipart for a while now, but something else keeps taking it’s place in line. Finally, I pulled together some of my favorite designs from the chicken egg counting sheets and other designs I had on hand. To those I added this brand new chicken coop design and wala! Chicken clipart for you to use in your diy projects.
Do you want to create a sign? Perfect!
Do you want to make your own forms or recording sheets? These are for you!
School worksheets or your class or homeschool? Yes!
Bullet Journals, coloring books and more? Of course! Available in color and black and white!
These have a personal license, but you can use them for anything you want (distribution of papers created for your classroom or church is fine, but please don’t take credit for yourself and don’t share files with others.)
Best of all, if you already have my Egg Counting Sheets and you want to add other forms to use in your homestead binder, this clipart pack matches!
Discount alert! I’m giving you all a coupon code to use for the next week (just for my readers!) For 30% off through February 9th (2023), click here or go to my shop and enter coupon code CLUCK at checkout.
Did you see my Mini Chicken Calendar and love it, but not care so much about the chickens? I hear you. Chickens aren’t for everybody. And while trucks aren’t for everybody, I know that a bunch of you do love old trucks! I hope you love this little calendar with all their whimsical illustrations just as much!
I love to tie these little cuties (mini size) onto a package or plate of cookies for a Christmas gift. It’s what I’m doing for our pastors’ wives again this year. The first year I included a mini easel from Hobby Lobby. They make a great stocking stuffer too and fit perfectly. If you prefer the larger sizes, place them in a frame and switch them out, clip them to the fridge, or slide them in the front of your school binder! So many options!
Whether they are for you or for gift giving (both?), you can find them in my Etsy shop right now!
What do you think? Do you like them? Which month is your favorite. Tell me in the comments!
It’s been a while since I mentioned it here, but I love feedback! I often tell people that I thrive on it… it really pushes me to keep going, keep creating, and keep sharing. A “like” or a “favorite” makes me smile… but when someone takes the time to leave a comment here on the blog or a written review over at my shop, that is truly encouraging!
I have been underestimating the power and encouragement of true feedback though… the kind that offers a critique or suggestion. I love that! Someone to rub elbows with (virtually, that is) and give me suggestions to make what I have even better! So when Amy left a review after purchasing my 12 Monthly Egg Counting Sheets and said she wished there would have been a spot to write down customers, I was thrilled with the idea!
I decided right then that I would do it! It just took me a month or so to figure out how I would do it and what it would look like. When the inspiration hit, though, things began to speed up and I’m thrilled with the end result! I hope you all are too!
Then I proceeded to message a copy of the Customer Information sheets to everyone who has purchased the Monthly Egg Counting Sheets (if you purchased one and haven’t received yours, check your Etsy account for a message from me and reach out to me if you don’t see it!)
My last step (before blogging about it anyway) was to list the Customer Information Sheets separately in my shop. You’ll notice that, while there is super cute chicken artwork on the forms, they don’t say anything about chickens or eggs anywhere! That makes these forms perfect for any kind of business. Add a touch of chicken and old truck whimsy to your business’s customer list with these Customer Information forms.
Oh, and grab them for 33% off for the next week for reading about them on the blog! Use coupon code CUSTOMERS33 or click this link to get it automatically.
This new Harvest Journal Bundle is just one of a few items I have listed recently in my shop. I love to keep track of how many pounds of this vegetable I bring in or how many pints of that fruit.
Though I’ve been away from the blog for a few weeks, I have been working when I can and have some new things in my shop. With the arrival of spring comes a lot more time working outside in the yard and garden. We’ve been digging, planting, raking, and even harvesting already! Asparagus is the plant that keeps giving year after year!!! (anyone with me?)
With the addition of outside projects, there is not much time left over for blogging… especially with my new Etsy shop. So it isn’t hard to understand that I’ve gotten behind in the blogging department. I do want to share with you, though, some of the new things in my shop.
From the beginning, this blog has been about sharing the things I am creating, putting myself out there for you all to see. I want to keep doing that, and if you should want to purchase something… well, I won’t complain about that either. 🙂 (wink, wink) So I’m going to try get some posts written up to share what I’ve been doing, all while continuing to create some more. 🙂 Thank you all for your support on this creative journey! (Coupon codes to come!)
I designed most of these pages to coordinate with my Chicken Egg Counting Sheets. They will fit nicely in the same journal or binder. The artwork on some of the pages are specific to one crop (like this strawberry page), but really, you could use any page for any crop.
Others have room for several crops on one page (as seen at the top).
With spring officially begun, we are full into the beginning of garden season! How better to celebrate, than with a cute Carrot Patch sign!
This is the part of the year that I still like gardening. Ask me again come July or August when it’s too hot to be outside and the weeds and pests have taken over and my opinion is often different. But for now… for now I’m all about the planning and the prepping and the seed starting. Yes, and even the decorating!
So… I designed this cute sign specifically for my sister who is loving all things carrots these days! I wanted to have something for her when she arrived for her visit this week, but I couldn’t help but print myself one and frame it up! It’s sitting on my kitchen counter waiting for me to figure out a good place for it. 🙂 I couldn’t stop there, though! I’ve also added it to my Etsy shop so you can have a copy too!
My sign reads, “Welcome to our Carrot Patch”, but my sister lives alone, so that isn’t going to work for her. Hers says ,”Welcome to my Carrot Patch.”
I designed this sign both ways, so, whether you need this sign in your family home or want to use it in your own space, I’ve got you covered! This sign would be great framed as an 8×10 or 5×7 on an entry table or in a dorm room, or framed as an 11×14 on the mantle in your living room. You can also choose to print the pdf of the 8.5×11 size to put in the front cover of your homestead, household, or school notebook!
This project has been a long time coming, and a lot of original artwork was created to make these extra special! I’ve been wanting to create these Egg Counting Sheets for a few years (ever since I made one for for the month of April a few years back), and the drawing tablet I got for my birthday last fall was just the push I needed! I’ve been working on them for several months and I’m super excited to have them done and ready for your farm or homestead needs!
UPDATE 2023: You can also find these egg counting sheets in my Whole Coop Chicken Mega Bundle with my other chicken products. Click here to find that.
Each page has chicken themed artwork that matches the season. You may recognize the chickens from a fabric design I shared lately (available for sale here.) The chickens from that fabric were originally from these egg counting sheets.
You can keep track of how many eggs you collect each day, any expenses from the month and your gross and net sales (if you sell your eggs.) There is also a section for writing any notes about your chickens or things you need to do or buy.
Chickens and Trucks is a fabric design I entered into the Spoonflower Challenge this last week. I am really happy with the way it turned out. We were supposed to use those three colors in our designs. I struggled with what to do until my husband suggested the trucks. I had a really cute design I was happy with, but I was getting mixed reviews from the family. It was my husband, again, who challenged me to push a little further.
I had these chickens from another project so I started to play with the colors. Who would think of making pink and green and purple chickens? I kept working with it. At first I was just going to do the chickens, but then it occurred to me that I could use both the chickens and the trucks… and “Chickens and Trucks” was born! I was super excited to see that people seemed to like it as well and I placed at #66 this week! See it on “real products” here.
I love love love these printable signs I found over at Clean and Scentsible! I pinned my favorites here. (And that towel… you’ll have to go look. It’s too cute!)
I tend to steer toward the farmhouse style decor… at least on Pinterest, and these cute signs planted a seed in me to make my own version of them. I just couldn’t let many days go by before I just had to try it with an apple theme. I generally decorate with apples in September. It’s not quite fall, but I’m itching for it to be… apples seem to be a happy medium before my leaves and pumpkins come out at the end of the month.
I started by sketching this one out. It’s not a “no-sketch” by any means. There were too many elements to get just right. I suppose if you wanted to “no-sketch” it, you could always scan each element in individually and put it together in Photoshop… but I didn’t do that this time. 🙂
I love the look of all the farmhouse signs I see, but when it comes time to buy or make one for myself, I can’t make myself do it. Something always seems to be missing. First of all, I wanted to add a verse to it somehow, but I also wanted to make it more personal. I felt like putting “family farm” at the top fit us better since that’s what we pretend to be. Then I loved how “pick your own” fit the attitude of encouraging the children to help out and take initiative.
I tried a new watercolor paper this time around. Hot pressed. It’s much smoother and [hopefully] easier to scan and clean up in Photoshop for you all. Shayda recently did a video that talks about the differences in watercolor paper, so I was ready for it to be different. It definitely was different, and it will take some practice, but I think it worked out nicely. Nothing you should be afraid to try for sure. The main reason I decided to try it is that Eileen at My Creative Resolution mentioned in a post (no idea which one… sorry!) that the texture of watercolor paper is hard on artist pens. It was at that moment I understood why my pens never seem to last long! 🙂 An ah-ha moment to be sure! The smooth finish of the hot pressed paper should help them to last longer. And it does scan much nicer!
I know there are already so many fall printables out there, but I don’t often see these seasonal printables with Bible verses on them, so I want to share them with you in the off chance that any of you are still in the market for a cute apple themed fall printable or have been holding out for one with a verse. Click here to download it and visit my slowly growing printables page for more!
Okay, you’ve heard me say it before: I’m a firm believer that every baby needs a party, and this little farm girl is no exception. Three older brothers already inhabiting the family’s homestead (plus rabbits and chickens), we really had to do something in pink!
Our church budgets for throwing a baby shower for all the first born babies, and I am the one so blessed as to be in charge of most of those. I understand that there isn’t room in the budget for every baby to have a full blown party, and it isn’t in our budget either. And I understand that not everyone thinks that second and third (and forth and fifth, etc) babies need a party. But I disagree!
When I say that every baby needs a party, I do not mean that we need to break the budget each time a baby is born or throw some elaborate gathering. What I do mean is that we should celebrate each new baby as the gift from God that they are! (I feel the same way about every adoption too by the way!) Every baby is special to the family receiving him or her, and it’s my joy to make a point to celebrate with that family… and to make sure they know about it!
A number of years ago, after years of wishing something could be done for all these *not first born* babies, I had a couple ideas. First of all, what if we just set up a table and invite the church family to bring gifts for the new baby. So that’s what I do anytime a new baby is born in our church. It’s not hard, and most of the time the decorations are super simple. This time it was a table cloth, a diaper cake (made at home), and a banner. It will be up for a few Sundays to give time for people to bring in their gifts.
{Planning to share my second “idea” about how to celebrate new babies in an upcoming post… subscribe in the sidebar so you don’t miss it!}
A week or so before it is up, I send out an email “invitation” to the whole church that is made in the same theme as the table. We call it a sprinkling. Most people bring diapers and wipes, but there are a few people who bring other gifts, gift cards, or a personal quilt. Gifts don’t even have to be wrapped… it’s optional.
I found the inspiration for this diaper cake on Pinterest (of course). Then I increased the size of the clipart I used in the invitation and printed it off. Some extra details from the dollar store, fabric store and around the house took it over the top. It turned out really cute (I think!)
Does your church do anything when babies are born??? It’s really easy to start this ministry… and it’s one that blesses families time and again!!
Keep a look out for the other thing I do for families to celebrate the birth of their new babies! (You can subscribe in the sidebar so you don’t miss a post!)
***Updated 4/2/19: I have begun making printables for your homestead. Find a growing library of them here.
I haven’t had a lot of time for extras lately, and definitely not for any finished projects! Good weather means outside chores and work in the garden and pruning trees and vines. Homeschooling and getting dinner on the table are about all I have energy for after that (if I get even that much done).
I have been working on my new bullet journal pages, though, in little moments, and although not many of them are finished either, I did finish our page for recording egg production and chicken related finances. We are trying to be better about tracking numbers for later reference and to see if our measures for saving money are helping. I just love that it can be pretty at the same time. (Behind the scenes: I have been using my kid’s markers alongside my artist pens for bullet journaling. Fancy markers – or pens for that matter – aren’t necessary to do this!)
Here it is a little closer:
The kids love to put the numbers in each morning and evening when we collect eggs.
I’m hoping to have my March pages and my new farm specific bullet journal for you to see soon. Maybe even before the end of the month. 🙂 With two birthdays and a “twins” baby sprinkling over the next couple weeks, I’m not making any promises. But at least you got this sneak peak. 🙂
